Zucchini

Zucchini is a type of squash from the cucurbit family. The fruit is cylindrical, whitish, and the flesh is whitish. It is grown in large quantities in Anatolia. It is used as a vegetable in cooking. Its external appearance is 18–20 cm long and 8–12 mm wide. They are oval-shaped grains with a white and hard shell.

Harvest Season

Fruit size in summer squash should be 15-20 cm long. Harvest should be done daily. Care should be taken to do it in the morning or evening. If we want to extend the harvest period, the old leaves should be removed and normal care should be continued. 2-4 kg per plant, 5-8 tons of product per decare can be obtained.

Winter honey and chestnut squash that have reached the harvest maturity are kept on the plant until the leaves dry and turn yellow. The fruits should have taken their normal size. The leaves and fruit stems of the plant are expected to dry. Harvest should be done before the rains begin. Fruits can be left in the field until it rains. It is also desirable to take some cold.
