Cucumber is a summer and wrapping vegetable from the Cucurbitaceae family. It is grown outdoors in summer. In winter, it is grown under cover.

60-70% of cucumber production in our country is done in open field.

The homeland of the cucumber plant is India. It is known to have been cultivated in India for 5000 years. From there it spread to China, Western Asia, North Africa and Southern Europe.

Harvest Season

Depending on the earliness and growing conditions of the variety, harvesting begins approximately 55 to 70 days after planting. The ideal time for the first harvest is when the fruits take 1/3 or at most 1/2 of the normal variety size.
