Apple is produced on an area of ​​approximately 1.7 million decares in Turkey. Niğde, Isparta and Karaman are the provinces with the highest apple area. Our apple production, which was 283 thousand tons in 1961, has increased more than twelve times until today. Starking apple is the most cultivated apple variety.

Harvest Season

It is harvested in September and October according to the harvest time of the apple, the hardness of the fruit peel, and the breaking of the apple from the branch. With the onset of autumn, the apple harvested in September takes its place on the market stalls and in the fruit aisles of the markets in October-November.
